Joseph Conrad once wrote that "the more intelligent you are, the less you suspect an absurdity." That is how the absurd VMs have found an annual "home" on the campus of Notre Dame. The VMs are some kind of practical joke played on the administration, a sophomoric hijinks of the sort that appear in a "Porky's" movie. And they are in such poor taste. To the organizers of this "event," it is time to put aside the narcissism of youth and become mature persons.
