My question is where the HELL is the local bishop???? They need to be told they can no longer describe themselves as a CATHOLIC university. The local bishop has the authority to remove the Catholic from the name. All they have to do is to do this once and the problem will be solved. People, including the laity who are often confused by the Church’s inaction, will know the Church means business. Enough is enough. If you do not want to be a real Catholic that is okay, no one will hold a gun to your head and say you have to be Catholic, but if you are not going to be a REAL Catholic, then stop pretending you are!!! Good e-mail, by the way. The only thing I would have added was something not only about the scandal and but also about the confusion he is helping to create, but that is just me. Fortunately, I am not a graduate of Notre Dame. And then you wonder why I am a Boston College fan??? God bless
