Re: Re: Bishops Shun Notre Dame
by Nancy Danielson
As Catholics, we believe in Divine Truth, The Word Made Flesh, Our Savior, Jesus Christ. We believe in the Word as He Has revealed Himself to us in the Trinitarian Relationship of Sacred Tradition, ( oral as well as written) Sacred Scripture ( the Canon of Scripture as determined by the Early Fathers of the Church) and Magisterial Teaching. One can not subsist without the other. Wherever Scripture is, Magisterial Teaching and Tradition can also be found. We hold that there is a Truth, and for everything that we do, we must ask, is it of God? One does not debate Divine Truth. The Truth is where you hope to arrive at the end of the debate. To debate Divine Truth is nothing but a lack of Faith. I believe that Father Jenkins knows this to be true but he is being challenged by those who claim that Academic freedom requires a search for truth . Such a search denies that there exists a Divine Truth that is Absolute, that can be found in the Blessed Trinity. There is no Wisdom to be found in uncertainty for we know that Wisdom can only be found in what is Absolute. To debate a truth causes nothing but confusion. From a practical standpoint, it is a waste of time. Why not argue that the earth is flat? Christ showed us, by His life and Death on the Cross, that to Love someone is to Desire Salvation for them. His Last Commandment was His Greatest Commandment, Love one another as I Have Loved you. We are to love one another in Relationship and Communion with Him. Perfect Love requires desiring Salvation for someone. The monalogues are not of God. They are a LIE from the start. ( title) They are oppressive because they do not respect the Sacredness and Dignity of Human Life. The sexual objectification of any person is also known as Slavery. We all know that Christ came to set us Free. Defend The Blessed Trinity. Defend our Faith. BE NOT AFRAID ! Nancy Danielson
