P.S., Every Catholic College and University takes a pledge of fidelity and obedience to the Catholic Church which is repeated each time we recite the Creed. The authority and power of the Catholic Church to teach Religious Tuth comes directly from Christ and has been entrusted to the Magisterium. The task of interpreting the Word of God authentically is entrusted to the Pope and all Bishops in communion with him. ( The key word here being in communion.) The Pope, Holy Pope Benedict XVI, Defender of Truth, has authority over all Bishops as well as every Catholic. Just so you know, this is not a matter of opinion, it is a FACT.
