Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: Re: ND Scholar Applauds Sycamore Trust

My concern is with Faculty that are allowed to misrepresent the Truth. This statement comes from the article in Catholicism Inc., April 12, 2008, which can be found at this web-site under the article, "Would today's Notre Dame welcome a Professor Ratzinger on its faculty?"
(paragraph 11 in regards to Ex Corde) " The way the mandatum controversy was resolved is this: Local Bishops give their approval to some Theologians and not to others. But no one besides the Bishop and the Theologian knows who has it."
So how does one know which Theologians are teaching authentic Catholic Doctrine and which are not? Why would you want a Catholic Theologian to teach something other than authentic Catholic Doctrine? A Catholic Theologian is suppose to teach and explain Catholic Doctrine, not misrepresent Catholic Doctrine. I always thought that a mandatum is a mandatum. This resolution makes no sense.
