I would like to thank everyone there at Notre Dame University who has spoken out and stood up in defense of Truth and Life. It has been heartening to follow the petition of more than 360,000 people who protest the appearance of President Obama and it has been especially gratifying to count 70 plus Bishops who have spoken out publicly against honoring the President with an honorary degree. May God bless everyone there, especially the students who will be staying away from the ceremony on Sunday. This prayful action they are taking instead will mean more to them down the road of life than they can imagine. They make me awfully proud to be Catholic and they give us great hope for The future of The Church and for our nation. I'll be praying for and with them on Sunday.
